Music
At Gracefield School we aim to provide enjoyable first hand experiences in listening to, performing and composing music.
From the beginning of their studies, all our children are encouraged to explore, experience and control sounds made by the voice and a variety of percussion instruments. The children are introduced to music in a range of styles and from different times and cultures.
Recorder club and choir are free clubs held at lunch time. There is a wide range of extra curricular music tutor sessions available. Mrs. Ford is our talented music teacher who offers private lessons in piano, guitar, flute, clarinet and voice. These lessons mostly take place during the lunch hour.
The choir and instrumental groups are encouraged to sing and play at morning assemblies, both in front of their contemporaries and their parents. The choir and our talented musicians often perform at special occasions such as the end of term concerts.
