DRAMA
We place a great deal of importance on developing our children's skills and confidence in the performing arts. We use drama throughout the day and across the curriculum, particularly in History and Literacy. Classes regularly put together a short play which they present to their parents during class assembly. Often this is based on a topic that they have recently studied in class.
Our after-school club activities include Drama. It also features in several of our special event days throughout the year, including World Book Day where children dress up as their favourite book character. On many of our trips, the children have the opportunity to dress up and role play, such as in the Victorian classroom, the World War II train station and the Roman soldier barracks.
